CHALLENGE
The App was built from scratch. The founder of Empact has done some sketches and researches.
During the collaboration, I used user-centred design approach to help refine the scope of the product. We want to offer positive user experience in the APP to encourage users to taking care of the area they living in.
APPROACH
With deep conversations with the founder of Empact to understand the requirements of the product, we analyzed several using scenarios, personas, user motivations and end up with solution of a "social impact" and an incentives system.
Users can view others' impact in a live map, picking up litters or report littering to earn points, using point to get coupons or donate points to support clean up event. and also a gamification set - a leaderboard for them to compete with other user by individual or by group.
Besides, to bring users a sense of joyful use experience, we choose a light blue as the main color theme. We also have designed a mascot - a bird for calling people's attention to protect environment and take care of the animals that share the same living place with us.
RESULT
Empact APP Has been released in both App store and Google play, by now it has over 1000 active users.
Conducted over 20 clean-ups with sports teams , companies and schools.
